2025 Mariposa Emerging Artist Showcase Winner & Canadian Folk Music Award-nominated, Basset is a Toronto-based folk duo full of timeless heart with deeply human lyrics and stunning harmonies reminiscent of the early folk revival. Yasmine Shelton has one of those instantly recognizable voices that can dive and soar all in a single phrase, while Sam Clark brings nuanced and tasteful support on guitar and other acoustic instruments.

With soulful harmonies, feel-good energy, and lively tambourine, this Bracebridge duo make upbeat, groove-driven music inspired by real life. In 2025, they were selected as one of nine finalists for the Mariposa Emerging Artist Showcase from over 250 musicians across Ontario. Their debut EP, Off the Floor, was recorded live in Gravenhurst, and the lead single "Seldom Seen" hit #1 on Hunter's Bay Radio.
